Kanuhura offers five categories of luxury villas to cater to the individual preferences and needs of guests:

Each villa is built with natural materials and furnished with solid timber fixtures.

Beach Villas are dotted along the island shore, each with its own stretch of white sand leading down to thesea. They are cool and charming, traditionally built in timber and stone - with handcrafted beds, fine cotton linens and breathtaking views. Families and larger parties appreciate the Beach Villa Duplexes, which interconnect two villas, and the spacious two-bedroom Grand Beach Villas.

Beach Villa Duplexes
Each Duplex comprises two interconnecting villas, and are perfect for families and larger parties. Each villa has its own outdoor area, en suite bathroom and connecting doors between the bedrooms.

Grand Beach Villas
The largest villas are the Grand Beach Villas. With two bedrooms, two large bathrooms with Jacuzzi bath, living room, kitchenette with dining area, veranda and a wide beachfront, the villas offer a “home-away-from-home”.

Water Villas stand on stilts above the calm lagoon, with private sundecks and steps leading down into the water. The most sensuous bathrooms with tropical outdoor showers and bathtubs for two are semi-open to the sky. Two Grand Water Villas include a living room and a larger sundeck overlooking the vibrant reef.

Grand Water Villas The two large Grand Water Villas feature a bedroom, separate living room and a spacious sundeck. The crystal waters are accessed by a private staircase.

All villas feature air-conditioning, satellite television, safe, DVD player, stereo system, broadband Internet, mini bar, private verandas, handcrafted King-size bed, spacious outdoor shower and freeform bath semi-open to the sky. A personal Villa Host is available for all villa categories.

Restaurants & Bars
Dine, wine and smile - restaurants create cuisines of unimaginable variety to serve your taste, your appetite, your mood, your moment. On the porch of your villa, on a secluded beach, around the pool, on the seashore - always there is food for romance, for relaxation, for the sheer pleasure of good company.

The dress code when dining at the restaurants is smart casual or island chic.

Thin Rah
One&Only Kanuhura’s main restaurant serves buffets for breakfast and dinner. Themed evenings complete with open-cooking stations present guests with interesting dining options throughout their stay.

Olive Tree
Presenting à la Carte dishes from the Mediterranean, the Olive Tree features an open oven with pizza bar. Other specialities include fresh pasta, salads, grilled seafood and steaks. Serving lunch and dinner.

Veli Café
Candlelight romance on the shores of the Indian Ocean sets the tone for Veli Café, open only for dinner, with its white linen covered tables and chairs set on the beachside wooden terrace. The Asian-fusion menu offers a delectable array of some of the chef ’s personal creations using the freshest seafood from the Maldivian atolls.

Jehunuhura Island
A private island getaway is just minutes away on the sister island of Jehunuhura. Six individual cabanas offer guests a relaxing retreat from the heat of the afternoon sun. Chilled water and cold towels are available throughout the day. In the evening, the island becomes a haven for private parties or romantic hideaways for two.

Located on Jehunuhura, is Cove’s, a delightful alfresco restaurant combining all the charms of fine dining with your feet in the sand. Lunch served daily featuring the chef ’s favourite recipes.

Villa Dining
Villa Dining caters for breakfast, light snacks, romantic dinners and special celebrations in the privacy of guests’ villas or at various locations on the island. Available 24 hours.

Handhuvaru Bar
Sit back, relax and enjoy cool drinks, tropical fresh juices, cocktails and light snacks throughout the day by the poolside or in the shade of the bar.

Nashaa Club
The Maldives’ first discotheque is hidden away at the far end of the island. Music chart toppers and cocktail mixers!

Water Sports Centre
The Water Sports Centre is a member of the internationally recognised Association of Windsurfing Schools in Germany, or VDWS (Verband Deutscher Windsurf und Wassersport Schulen e.v.). With the very best in qualified instructors and water sports equipment, guests are assured of a safe and fun time on the various excursions and lessons that are offered. Speedboat rentals, canoes, pedalos, banana boats, water-skis, wake-boards, fun tubes, catamarans and underwater scooters are also available.

Dive Centre
Lhaviyani Atoll is known for its stunning underwater fauna and marine life, offering some of the best dive sites in the world. Over 40 dive sites, including two shipwrecks and a manta point, are accessible within minutes from the resort. The PADI Gold Palm certified dive centre offers newcomers a first-class introduction to diving and unique excursions for experienced divers. Nitrox diving is also available.
